PAGES: 21st International Contemporary Artists' Book Fair, The Tetley Centre for Contemporary Art in Leeds, UK, March 3 & 4, 2018
Leeds’ International Contemporary Artists' Book Fair forms the core of PAGES, a rolling programme of interrelated events that aim to establish critical engagement with the medium of the artists’ book raising awareness, encouraging production and creating new platforms for display and exchange between audience and maker.
As part of The Tetley’s participation in the New North and South network, 5 tables were made available, free of charge (including return postage if non-attending), to artists and imprints based in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan or Sri Lanka. Pixie Bks was lucky to find place thanks to this initiative and an invitation by Chris Taylor, co-director of PAGES and Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at the University of Leeds.
Seven books - Puzzle de Brasil, Imposition, Time Bound, Double-crossing a River, Stone, The Book of F and The Wise Man and his Long Beard were displayed.
